National Call

The application to public higher education is carried out each year, in accordance with the approved schedule, through a National Call organized by the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES).

The whole process related to the assessment of the ability to attend, as well as the setting of selection criteria and ranking of candidates for registration and enrolment in higher education is controlled by the National Commission on Access to Higher Education.

The University of Minho is part of the network of Offices for Access to Higher Education, coordinated by the DGES, ensuring support for the administrative process of applying to the National Call to Portuguese Higher Education, including special regimes and quotas.

The Student Service Center of the Academic Management Services is responsible for managing this Office, as well as providing information and supporting applications for other competitions for access to undergraduate courses at the University.
